Black Swan’ is a howler of a horrorshow

During yesterday’s taping of “Movies 101,” the Inlander’s Luke Baumgarten made a good point about “Black Swan” when he referred to it as a horror movie. There certainly is a horrorshow quality to it.

Still, I only really began to appreciate Darren Aronoflsky’s film after reading this review by one of my favorite critics, the Village Voice’s J. Hoberman. The headline alone is a howler.

As for the film itself, it may have been uncomfortable laughter, but laugh through many moments of it I certainly did.
