Brown’s disdain showing

The Spokesman-Review

Recent Spokesman-Review articles mentioning or highlighting Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown (Jan. 10 and 11) again show her complete disdain for Washington voters and taxpayers by openly stating that the Legislature must get around the requirements of Initiative 960 that makes it more difficult for the Legislature to increase taxes. It’s a spending problem not a revenue issue!

Maintaining transfer payment programs like Basic Health and other welfare programs at the expense of working Washingtonians is arrogant and unresponsive to this state’s voters and taxpayers. We are tired of Lisa Brown and her local spending cohort Sen. Chris Marr rewarding the welfare class and other Democratic constituencies on the state’s credit card. Pay attention to the voters and taxpayers for a change.
