Pull on your fat pants … it’s time to Pig Out!

Tricia Jo Webster

Here’s a little picture chronicle of most of the things I’ve eaten so far at Pig Out 2010 …

Thursday night I scarfed this Chimichanga, which was larger than my left forearm. And it was served on a platter covered in rice, beans with sour cream. (Notice I tried to regulate my caloric intake with a Diet Pepsi …) Yes, I hated myself afterward. In fact I hated myself so much I skipped ordering my own dessert and just sneaked a couple bites of Eric’s funnel cake, chased by a few spoonfuls of Kegan’s Moose Tracks ice cream.

This afternoon I ate these turkey sliders and rice from an Indian fusion booth somewhere near the Bloomsday runners sculpture. Tasty, but not as good as the plate my sis-in-law Heather picked up from the White House Grill. I don’t have a pic of that plate because I was too busy filching bites from it, and the huge Italian sausage my mom stood in line for almost 20 minutes to get.

And here’s a berry sundae with huckleberry ice cream. I am happy to report I did not eat one single bite of this beauty (you know how I feel about fruit).

But I did eat every single bite of this amazing chocolate-covered cheesecake.

I’ll take the day off tomorrow. But I’ll be back Monday. There’s a heavily-buttered ear of corn on the cob calling my name. And, what? What’s that? OK, I’ll eat you, too, pulled pork sandwich, block of garlic fries and elephant ear.
