Drunken Doughnuts. They’re chewy and just sweet enough on their own. But when you dunk them into one of the three little pots of indulgence … Oh. My. Stars.

The Apple Pucker Caramel was by far my fave, followed closely by the Amaretto Creme Anglaise. The Crown Royal Chocolate? Meh. twigs doughnut

One plate ($5.99) was enough for Eric and I to share, but we didn’t know that until AFTER we’d ordered the doughnuts AND The Sticky Cookie (a soft-baked double-chocolate chip cookie smooshed over vanilla bean ice cream, swizzled with caramel and chocolate). twigs cookie

We tried. But we just couldn’t finish ‘em off. I thought about sneaking the leftover doughnut holes into my pocket, for later. But then I also thought about unbuttoning my jeans so I could get into the car.

You’ll find Twigs in the Spokane Valley Mall, on the third floor of River Park Square, on the South Hill at 4320 S. Regal, and in Wandermere at 401 E. Farwell.
