Water to movie critics … or fans
Looking for a disconnect between critics and mainstream audiences? Go no further than “Water for Elephants.” According to Rotten Tomatoes , what it calls top critics rated the Francis Lawrence movie at 44 percent — hardly a diamond rating but nowhere near the worst (based on just nine reviews, “Hoodwinkes too! Hood vs Evil” rates 0 percent).
Now, compare that to the audience reaction: 93 percent.
Not sure whether that was the actual rating or average age of the movie fans doing the rating (age 9.3 for Robert Pattinson fans).
