This … multiplied by 345 or so
We were at the Convention Center for over an hour this afternoon, and there was a steady stream of Bloomies up and down the stairs the entire time.
If this is your first Bloomsday, get ready … because this crowd is nothing compared to Sunday morning’s fleet-feet fest. Over 50,000 locals and visitors will crowd the streets for Spokane’s springtime right of passage.
If you’ve done this dance before, you know to give yourself loads of extra time if you’re heading anywhere near the downtown area, until at least mid-afternoon.
Even if you don’t run the race, get down to Riverfront and take in the festivities — the sun’s supposed to shine, and who’d want to miss tens of thousands of sweaty people milling around, some dazed, some high on endorphins, some taking full advantage of the beer garden. Sounds like a springtime Sunday to remember.
I wouldn’t miss it.
