Ready for one hell of a weekend?

Tricia Jo Webster

Art on the Green – In my humble opinion, one of our area’s best outdoor summer events. Art, music, food, the lake, people watching extraordinaire. Here’s the weekend’s entertainment lineup.

The Hillyard Festival & Hi-Jinks Parade – Make time to check out this weekend-long celebration of one of our city’s oldest, most eclectic neighborhoods. Music and fun in the park on Friday, free pancake breakfast Saturday morning, followed by a parade, hot rod show, music, arts & crafts, food and fireworks. And more fun in the park on Sunday. Whew. What a weekend! Want to know more? Click here.

Spokane Highland Games – Burly dudes in skirts. Hielan’ coos (long-haired cattle – so cute!). And tug-of-war competitions. As if that weren’t enough, how about some Scottish dancing and Celtic music. Saturday’s the day to don your kilt and take part in this awesome celebration of all things highland. Here’s more info.

The Festival at Sandpoint … with Brandi Carlile tonight and Chris Isaak tomorrow. Find the rest of the lineup and weekend activities here .

And how about an Arbor Crest Summer Concert on Sunday … Sammy Eubanks rocks away the weekend. Hilltop concerts run through the summer — here’s the schedule.

Want more? Check out the Spokane7 activity calendar . It’s filled with what’s up.

You should probably take Monday off to recover.
