Shannon gives new meaning to strange

Just got out of “Take Shelter,” an independent film playing at AMC River Park Square Theatres. It’s a strange film that keeps the viewer guessing as to whether the protagonist, a regular Ohio working guy, is either a seer or a schizophrenic. In the end, I’m not sure he isn’t both — and I’m not sure how effective the film is at finding a satisfactory conclusion. Still, I enjoyed Shannon, who was nominated for an Oscar for 2008’s “Revolutionary Road.” Believe me, nobody plays crazy better than this guy.
