Stop by the Magic Lantern when you get a chance
Some pretty interesting stuff playing this weekend at the Magic Lantern . One, the Oscar-nominated shorts, animated and live action, opened last week and will play through next Thursday.
Also opening? “An Ecology of Mind,” Nore Bateson’s documentary feature about her father, Gregory Bateson. The film won a golden SpIFFy at the recent Spokane International Film Festival.
Fnally, the dramatic feature “Two Indians Talking” is also opening on Friday. I was less taken with this film than I was with several other SpIFF offerings. But in three screenings, it did quite well at the Magic Lantern. There’s definitely an audience for such a film.
