After an Alaska break, he’s baaaaaack!

Since I began writing this blog, some eight years ago, I’ve posted from all over the world. From Greece to Kosovo, Buenos Aires to Beijing. And while I’ve had problems here and there, I’ve never been out of contact for long. Couple of days, a week at the most.

Ah, but then I’d never been to Alaska. First on a cruise ship, then on a 700-plus-mile Anchorage-to-Fairbanks road trip. And Internet access was slow and prohibitively expensive on the cruise and hit-or-miss everywhere else. So I ended up posting nothing.

But since the only movies that I saw were museum studies — a treatise on Winter and the Aurora Borealis at the University of Fairbanks Museum, a historical short in a visitor’s center at Denali National Park — I’m not sure what I would have written about anyway.

So … I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. I’ll begin seeing movies today and writing up my reactions beginning tomorrow. And I’ll pick up with Movies 101 on Friday.

Any suggestions what movie I should start with?
