Sunshine. Food. Music. Friends. Beverages. Art. A weekend full of fabulous!
ArtFest is my absolute favorite way to start the summer season — especially when Mother Nature cooperates. Which, as luck would have it, she is.
This weekend event brings thousands of peeps down to one of the city’s hippest neighborhoods. The people-watching is almost as mesmerizing as the glistening booths filled with handiwork from some of our region’s most talented crafters. The scent of waffle cones wafts on the breeze and the air is filled with music, laughter and the occasional squeal — or maybe that’s just me when Eric hands over the debit card and tells me to find myself a birthday present?
When you’re done checking out all the fantastic artisan’s offerings at Coeur d’Alene Park in Browne’s Addition, wander over to the MAC and take in the astounding Da Vinci exhibit.
Or, wander down to Pacific, between the Elk and Pacific Ave Pizza, and discover my absolute favorite way to hate myself in the morning — Elkfest! This event is more about music and booze than art for art’s sake, and that rounds out my weekend just fine.
Bring your sunscreen, your designated driver and your wallet — for ID and cash … there’s no way you can walk away from this arty festival without a little something special.
