One more weekend to see SIFF: Go for it!
Spent another weekend in Seattle, which is another sign of just how long this festival is. Films will be showing through next Sunday.
My favorite film so far: “Amador,” a Spanish film about a Central American woman who is caught in a suffocating relationship. When she takes a temporary job as caretake for a dying elderly man, she is caught in a situation that enriches her life even as it causes her no end of anxiety and doubt.
But many more movies are scheduled to play. And except for the very first movie we saw, a documentary on the New York Times, seats have been available for every single show. Check out the schedule , jump in the car and head west. If you’re a movie fan, you won’t regret it.
Below : The trailer for “Amador.”
