Attention: Long weekend ahead!
With all the excitement of high school graduations, birthday parties and out-of-town races, the Fourth of July sort of sneaked up on me this year. If you’re in the same boat, don’t fret. There’s no rule that says we have to pack up the tent and head for the hills just because it’s the 4th of July. In fact, there’s so much going on right outside our front doors this weekend that it’d be a travesty for us to do anything but hang around town. (That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.)
Like what? Like this:
- Spokane Indians take the field this weekend – is there anything more American than hometown baseball? Nope.
- Riverfront Park is always a blast on the 4th of July weekend … Monday’s celebration boasts two live music stages, food, vendors and a Northern Lights beer garden.
- Coeur d’Alene has a great 4th of July festival complete with a parade, food, music and vendors plus an awesome fireworks display.
- Click here for other small-town North Idaho options … we’ve done Bayview Daze more than once – so fun!
- Plus there’s Splashdown …
- And Silverwood …
- The Grand Coulee Dam Laser Light Show (ok, that’s a little out of town, but they’re having a full-weekend festival of music and food and fun) …
- Singing Nuns …
Yup, no need to head for the hills. We got a great big slice of American pie going on right here.
If you know of other fun stuff going on this weekend, post it in the comments below!
