Unique name … but not that unique

My friend Pete Porter pointed out that, due to a typo, my post below about Farley Granger was a bit ironic. In making a point about Granger’s name being unique, I misspelled it “Farkey.” Whoa. Unique is one thing. Outright strange is something else.

So I fixed it. By the way, Porter, director of the Spokane International Flm Festival, has a pretty good two-word description of Granger: “competently vanilla.”

Just what Hitchcock ordered. It allowed him to play the worried counterpart to the far stronger, sociopathically driven John Dall in “Rope” and Robert Walker in “Strangers on a Train.”

Anyway, typo fixed.
