What’s the ‘Sucker Punch’ audience? Guess

Re. my post on “Sucker Punch” below, Boxofficemojo offers up some interesting news:

1, While Zack Snyder’s film opened on 3,900 screens (at 3,033 different locations), it took in only about $19 million, less even than “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules,” which though being a sequel grossed an estimated $22.1 million.

2. Seems the audience was 64 percent male and 74 percent under the age of 35.

If that doesn’t make a statement in and of itself, then this comment by Boxofficemojo writer Brandon Gray does: ” ‘Sucker Punch’ succumbed to style and spectacle over substance; it was marketed as a video-game-like blur of random fantastical action bordering on sensory overload.”

Not a bad critique. One caveat: “Bordering on”? How about “immersed in”?
