Up on the roof … at the Saranac
The sun is out. and there’s a party on the rooftop. Really, could you ask for a better Tuesday night?
GreenDrinks is holding their monthly meeting tonight, beginning at 5:30. If you’re interested in things “green” — clean water, fresh air, sustainable living practices, tiny carbon footprints — you should get yourself to the rooftop of the Saranac building, which just so happens to be the city’s first Platinum Certified Green building.
Each month a local mover and shaker in the green movement co-sponsors the event; this month it’s Riverkeeper — a group that’s dedicated to keeping the Spokane River alive and well. There’s no cost to join the party, and usually there are nibbles and drinks available for a donation. Also, they typically give out cool prizes.
So, as all GreenDrinkers know, if you’re interested in conservation, conversation and/or cocktails, this is the place for you. Did I mention the sun is shining and there’s a party on the rooftop?
(Took this shot on Sunday afternoon. I’d say it’s a river worthy of a party!)
You’ll find the Saranac at 25 W. Main, downtown.
