Did it!
Saturday I did one of those things I never thought I’d do … I ran, for more than two hours straight — without stopping. On purpose.
I finished (as the medal and my running buddy, Colleen, will attest) the Windermere Half-Marathon, with an official time of 2:17:34. I know, I didn’t think I could do it either.
The weather was divine, the course was lovely and everyone involved with the race — participants, volunteers and spectators — were simply amazing. Days like this remind me why I love this city so very much. Plus, they help me justify my appetite which is, as time goes on, proving to be quite similar to my 17-year-old son’s.
