Run. Nap. Gobble.
Here’s your justification for that second piece of pumpkin pie after Thanksgiving dinner … the Turkey Trot!
Last year my sis-in-law and I woke up early and headed to Manito for our first experience with this Annual Fun Run. It was snowing. It was slippery. It was freezing. It was awesome!
Seriously, starting a day of utter gluttony with a lovely 3-mile romp through the snow-covered streets of the Manito neighborhood was fantastic. This year things probably won’t be as white and slippery, or as cold, but I’m betting it’ll still be an awesome way to start our Turkey Day.
Care to join us? The run is open to the public, and it’s super cheap – drop off a bag of non-perishable food items at the donation truck (or a check for 2 nd Harvest) by the Duck Pond and you’re in. Choose from two-, three- or five-mile routes. Registration and donation drop-off start at 8, the race starts at 9 a.m.
You’ll be done in time for a nap.
