Peddles to paddles (of the de-fib variety)
Against his better judgement Eric joined me for a 10-mile hill-infested bike ride yesterday, in 90+ degree heat. I rewarded him with a healthy plate of rib-sticking goodness at the Otis Grill .
This place does comfort food up right, and we’re pretty sure this was the best-tasting chicken fried steak — ever. Oh, and that twice-baked beauty was a miraculous blob of potato, bacon, cheddar, sour cream and chivey goodness. I’d go so far as to say the green beans offered a healthy element to the meal, but they sort of tasted like they’d been blanched in pork fat, so never mind.
(Sorry, sweet piggies . You’re adorable, but not even you can put me off bacon.)
You’ll find the Otis Grill at 21902 E. Wellesley, in Otis Orchards (just north of Liberty Lake).
