And I licked the sugar from my fingers

When out driving through the foggy climes of the Spokane Valley this morning, I found myself heading west on Sprague because the lure of Mike’s Donuts was simply too strong. And as I stepped into the warm shop, and was nearly overcome by the sweet scent of the dozens of donuts on display, I knew I had arrived where I was meant to be.

The only doubt I had, after ordering my half-dozen mix of plain old-fashioned and cinnamon donuts, was what to photograph. As the outside of the shop itself is online, and the people working inside seemed to be too busy to pose for a photo, I decided simply to concentrate on the floured treasures themselves. So there they sit, magnificently posed on the hood of my car.

I may die a few week early for having scarfed down three of them in the following few minutes. But, oh yes, it was worth it.
