It’s in there
We probably all have one or two people in our lives who are practically impossible to buy for — either because if ever they want something they buy it for themselves, or because they only want the best and we just can’t afford it.
Well, the next time one of these people pops up on your gift radar, get yourself to Spencer’s Antiques . I’ve driven past this place a thousand times and finally let my curiousity get the better of me last week. I can’t believe it took me so long to discover!
Inside something like a half-zillion (or maybe it’s 100ish) vendor booths are stocked with pretty much anything you can imagine. From sequined ball gowns a la 1985 and mid-century mantel clocks to retro rocking chairs and farm house kitchen implements, this place has it all. And word is the stock is always being refreshed and re-invented.
Which means you’ll surprise and delight that friend who’s already bought themselves everything (because who would ever think to buy themselves Foo dog bookends?) or the friend who insists on the latest and greatest — that 1974 turntable was the cream of the crop back in the day.
Find Spencer’s Antiques at 1325 N. Division, just outside the GU District.
