Sheriff contact reassuring

I previously wrote a letter to the editor regarding a home invasion in the city of Spokane referencing our own home invasion in Spokane County, and asking whether the Sheriff’s Office had done a thorough investigation.

I am pleased to acknowledge that I was in error, and that the Sheriff’s Office did do a thorough investigation. I know this because Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich called and spoke with me directly, taking time out of his busy day to go through the entire investigation with me and answering any and all questions that I had. In my defense, we were away when the break-in occurred and did not follow up with the Sheriff’s Office to get the proper information regarding the investigation.

I plan on being one of the first in the county to have a re-election sign for Sheriff Ozzie placed on my property when and if (and I sincerely hope so) he runs again.
