Drinking isn’t supposed to be hard
I drink for a living. More accurately, I write about drinks to supplement my living.
You want to see what drinking for a living really looks like? Watch Drinking Made Easy . A couple of guys choose a city, then make their way from one bar to the next, mixing and throwing back drinks along the way. By the end of the tour they’re at least three sheets to the wind, and they’ve shared a few city-centric cocktail recipes so we can experience the lushy life at our leisure.
Zane and his DME crew drank their way through our fair city last summer. Wednesday we’ll get to see what living the dream looks like, as they visit:
- Steam Plant
- Steelhead
- Northern Lights
- Baby Bar
- Bon Bon
- Dry Fly
Tomorrow night Steelhead is celebrating their DME debut with an all-night happy hour , and starting at 5 (which is when the show airs) they’re looping the episode so you can catch it all night long.
I checked the show’s website and Northern Lights is listed as THE place for Spokane’s official Drinking Made Easy viewing party … with drink specials and cheap hot wings and all kinds of cool stuff. BUT I called Northern Lights and the guy who answered the phone told me they were airing the show at 5 but didn’t know anything about a viewing party … so of course this is where I’m going to go because there’s nothing like a wtf to make drinking easy.
FYI: Drinking Made Easy is more than just a show that depicts what I want to do when I grow up, it’s a drinking game! YAY! Click here to watch the rules. Then call your DD, get yourself to Northern Lights or Steelhead, and look for the little monkey.
For those of you who want to catch it at home, Drinking Made Easy runs on HDNet (Comcast 707) at 5 and 8.
