Opening Friday on a big screen near you …

We’ve already covered what the Magic Lantern is opening on Friday . So let’s now turn to the mainstream theaters. The popular Spokane-area premieres are as follows:

“Act of Valor” : It’s not enough just to portray the missions of U.S. Navy Seals. Now we have to fill action movies with the real thing (for both recruiting and excitement purposes).

“Wanderlust” : Not satisfied with their urban lives, Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd stumble onto a free-love commune — with predictable comic consequences.

“Gone” : Amanda Seyfried plays a young woman convinced that a kidnapper-killer, who once abducted her, has returned and taken her sister. But no one believes her.

“Tyler Perry Good Deeds” : Tyler Perry doffs his drag costume to play an upstanding businessman who begins to question his life’s straight-and-narrow path.
