This afternoon, as Kegan and I ducked into O’Doherty’s to find shelter from the snow storm, I was reminded that the simple things are, indeed, the best things.

Meat and potatoes wrapped in a flaky crust then smothered in gravy on a plate in front of me. Right across the table? My amazing kid. Yeah, that’s just right.
