Time for a ‘hot’ dessert
Sweet and sour usually means sweet or sour, at least when we’re talking about items sold in a pastry shop. But not at Sweet Frostings, Blissful Bakeshop , the pastry shop sitting downtown at the corner of First and Washington.
That’s Aaron in the photo, son of the shop’s owner, bragging about his mom’s special creation: jalapeno cornbread, which he said was full of cream cheese and bacon and goat cheese and, of course, jalapeno. Yow.
I passed, preferring a white chocolate chip cookie and a ginger snap. But maybe sometime soon. Maybe after I’ve visited the taco truck sitting in the parking lot directly across the street.
