SpIFF 2012: Tickets are going fast

Day 5 of the 2012 edition of the Spokane International Film Festival features a couple of good selections, both of which screen at the Magic Lantern: “Amador,” a Spanish-language film, plays at 6:30 p.m. in the larger house, whle the Netherlands/Indonesia documentary “Position Among the Stars” follows at 6:45 in the 30-plus-seat house.

And, in fact, films play all through the week. For a complete schedule, click here . But the coming weekend, the festival’s closing weekend, is something special. Among the treats:

A whole slate of Saturday films, including the Filipino documentary “Woman in a Septic Tank” (4:15 p.m. at the Magic Lantern), the documentary “Adventures in Plymptoons ” (4:30 at the smaller Magic Lantern house, the documentary “Drummer’s Dream” (5 p.m. at the AMC Theaters), the Israeli narrative film “Man Without a Cell Phone” (6:15 p.m. at the Magic Lantern) and the narrative film set in Greenland “Inuk” (8 p.m. at the larger Magic Lantern house).
