You know what tastes better …
than a double decker dose of Flying Goat pizza? A double decker dose of Flying Goat pizza in the sunshine!
That one on top is the LaCrosse: Olive oil, fresh mozzarella, house-made Italian sausage, red peppers preserve, fresh basil and shaved parmesan ($13). It was good, but I panic ordered and didn’t realize that the only cheese was shaved parmesan :( I love parmesan, but I also expect my pizza to choke me with cheese. If you’re hungry for something light (aka without cheese) that will fill you with healthy-ish calories but not weigh you down (important if you’re going to jump in the lake immediately after eating) this is the pizza for you.
The beauty on the bottom is the Wellington: Roasted asparagus, crimini mushrooms, roasted garlic, oregano, house cheese blend and heavy cream ($13). Veggies, herbs, cheese and cream. Perfect-o!
You’ll find the Flying Goat at 3318 N. Northwest Blvd.
