Sid Explains Why He Pulled CSB Plug

Update: Frederickson quits Coeur d’Alene School Board

:
The board chose a direction that did not include me in any leadership role. I wasn’t even
nominated for chair or vice-chair. It was obvious that the board did not want to have me in a leadership position. That was, and is, unacceptable. The chair and the vice-chair set the board agenda. I do not wish to be on the end of 4 to 1 votes on issues that may be against my basic philosophy. Yes, I chose to resign with 1 year remaining on my extended term of office. Under the old law, my third (and final) term would have ended June 30, 2011. The new election consolidation law extended that term to June 30, 2013. Originally I had intended to resign at the end of June 2011, but stayed on at many requests to do so. Ten and one half years of serving is enough. My position and that of the 2 appointees are up for election this next May. Let’s hope for less voter apathy.
Question: Can you blame Sid for not wanting to beat his against the wall for the next 11 months?
