You can’t kill Superman! Right?
Not to date myself or anything, I began reading comics in the early 1950s. But I never became a true fan. Not in the sense that most people think it. I never was a collector, never could keep the stories straight, nor even most of the characters. And somewhere around fifth grade, I lost interest.
I regained that interest around the time that Frank Miller brought out his reinvention of Batman titled “The Dark Knight Returns.” And I’ve maintained a middling interest ever since, an interest that has me on occasion stalking the aisles of Spokane’s great comics store, Merlyn’s.
Still, while comics on occasion continue to intrigue me, they drive me crazy, too. Case in point? Well, watch the video embed below. It’ll explain everything.
