For the best java, try Jacob’s

In my continuing effort to find Spokane’s best coffee places, I need to include one of my regulars. Three days a week, most weeks, I drive through the Jacob’s Java at 526 S. Washington at about 6:40 a.m. And I order the same thing: an 8-ounce drip with a splash of half and half. A few sips make my trip to the gym feel at least half manageable.

The great thing about Jacob’s, aside from the fact that the coffee is always drinkable and the service is always fast (even when the lines at both drive-in windows are four cars long), is that in a culture of friendliness, the Jacob’s crew outdoes itself. Pictured above are two of the sweetest, Katy and Cassie who — even in the dim light of the early morning — display smiles brighter than springtime.

OK, poetic license there. But you get the idea.
