Raising the roof at SIFF

I’ve been attending the Seattle International Film Festival pretty much annually since 1993. And I’ve seen literally hundreds of films there. I’ve even gone to a few parties. But nothing beats the party that I attended Saturday night at Kaspars, which was the site of a special event celebrating filmmakers.

I tagged along with a couple of my filmmaker friends, one being the Kosovar producer/actor Blerim Gjoci, who was at the festival with his short film “Kthimi” (or “The Return ,” (which had played at the Spokane International Film Festival in February). It wasn’t my first SIFF party, but it was certainly the first one at which I I witnessed a young woman doing a pole dance in the rafters. Hubba hubba.

She was finally talked down. But not before a good time was had by all.
