They do biscuits and eggs seriously

If you do head over to Seattle for either of the final two weekends of the Seattle International Film Festival, consider dropping by the Serious Pie in Westlake . I had breakfast there Sunday morning with my friend Leslie Kelly and the photo above shows some of the food we had, which included biscuit sandwiches and/or baked eggs (with biscuits, of course). Fairly pricey, but the coffee was good. And the food was indeed scrumptious.

By the way, that’s my young friend Connor Sands, son of my former Spokesman-Review colleague Ken Sands, sitting with his arms folded. Connor, in honor of his alma mater Washington State University, ate a chicken, bacon and egg biscuit sandwich that was bigger than my head.
