These Taco Bell Doritos tacos are … tasty?
Like you, probably, I’ve seen those ads about Taco Bell’s Doritos tacos . Especially the one about the Texas kid who drives 937 miles, presumably round trip, just to taste the blend of fast-food Mexican and gut-heavy corn chips. I never, though, thought that much about the subject of the ad to actually take advantage.
Until today. For some strange reason, I developed a craving for a taco. And as I was driving past Taco Bell - the one located at the corner of Lincoln and Third - I decided to drop in. Since I was then there, I decided … well, why not?
I ordered combo No. 11, which is three Doritos tacos and a big drink. I even opted for the supreme upgrade, which gave me tomatoes and sour cream. But still the same general size Oh joy.
So, then, was the resulting experience worth the trip? Put it this way: I don’t think I’d drive 937 miles to repeat the experience. Not even if they paid me to do it. But I might drive 937 feet.
That’s some kind of a recommendation, I guess. Ole.
