Mizuna can put you in a good food mood
After curling lessons - yeah, you read that right - fell through this evening, what else were we to do on a chilly Sunday evening but go to dinner. So we dropped by Mizuna for a fine meal, washed down with a good pinot. The eatery that began its existence as primarily a vegetarian paradise, and still boasts the best veggie menu in town, is one of Spokane’s culinary treasures.
I ordered a surf-and-turn soup and an arugula-avocado salad, while my wife opted for grilled trout. Our dining mates ordered, respectively, Mizuna’s apple and cheese salad and chicken. As always the food was just about perfect - and I have to tell you that I appreciate the free bread, which fewer and fewer restaurants seem to be offering.
Anyway, it was a good evening for food, wine and companionship.
