Pig Out: Where nobody knows your name

One of the strange things about annual Spokane events — Hoopfest, Bloomsday or Pig Out in the Park — is that, for a short time, you typically run into strangers. In a town as small in Spokane, where it’s difficult to hide, somebody in a crowd — either at a park, a mall or some public event — usually knows your name.

But walking through the mass of humanity Friday night in Riverfront Park (see crappy iPhone photo above), I saw nobody I knew. Felt pretty refreshing.

Makes it easy to, uh, pig out. If you know what I mean.
