Decent pizza times two …
I finally got around to eating at South Perry Pizza, on a night when the crowds were thin enough to score a corner table. We bought two pies, pepperoni and margherita, and had beer and wine and lemonade for my granddaughter, Hero (she calls it “juice”).
Not sure the pizza is better than what is served across and down the street on Thursday nights during the South Perry Market , where you can get fresh Veraci Pizza fresh off the portable oven. But the two spots make two more local places where you can get decent pizza, which is a far cry from the day when the only pizza you could buy in Spokane was mainstream national brands or what used to pass for pie at Geno’s in the Gonzaga district.
Meanwhile, think I’ll head back over the Flying Goat Pizza . That place is seriously good.
