A page from the book of awesome

Tricia Jo Webster

A few weeks ago a friend posted a pic of this little treasure on Facebook and I was all like, I love that idea! Then I kind of forgot about it. But during tonight’s Flying Irish run I ran right past it and I was all like, Hey … I love that idea!

I really don’t know all that much about the concept, but I do know that I’m allowing myself to love it anyway. It’s called a Little Free Library and it seems like it was started in Winsconsin or something by some bookloving people who believe that creating a tiny happy place with the intention of sharing, simply, can make a great big impact on the world. It’s basically an honor system lending library. Take a book, leave a book if you have one to share.

I’d love to tell you exactly where to find it, but I was kind of paying attention to not keeling over during my really out-of-shape trot, and not paying attention to where I was. So  the best I can do is give you a general idea of where to find it, and leave you up to your own divices — which, really, is more fun anyway.

You’ll find this Little Free Library somewhere near the intersection of Cedar and Main, in Peaceful Valley.
