A breakfast pint

A friend and I had breakfast at Madeleine’s this morning. Her sausage quiche with a side of juicy melon looked delicious (she assured me looks were not deceiving). But, for me, the high point of the meal came when our server brought a gorgeous iced coffee to the table — in an honest-to-goodness glass.

Ordinarily I whiz through the drive-thru by my office then spend the morning at my desk, sucking java from a plastic cup. This beautiful break in routine reminded me of something — I need more simple decadence in my life. (And, seriously, if a glass glass seems like a decadence, I probably also need a little more life in my life.)
