• Keith Erickson (re: “My 2 Cents: Don’t Run, Mike” ): As much as I respect your views, Dave, you’ve rejected some solid candidates that would be pro-growth and support the progressive direction of the current council. By putting thumbs down on the likes of Kennedy and English, you’re not helping the city, in my opinion.
• JohnA: Keith, I think DFO is looking at it from a humane position, meaning it would be tough on both Dan and Mike to run, from a personal standpoint. I know from being Dan’s treasurer that losing back to back elections can take a toll on any candidate. That said, though, I would certainly support both Dan and Mike in any run for office, and not because of their party affiliation but because they are top notch guys who have been a credit to the offices they’ve held.

Question: Let’s think outside the box here. Who would be good candidates for the Coeur d’Alene City Council or mayor’s seat this fall. I’d suggest Eden Irgens, Sara Meyer and Jennifer Drake. However, Sara and Jennifer will have newborns to care for by then. Can you think of new blood that you’d like to see run?
