Worst Program Cover Ever?

At The Slice blog, Paul Turner calls this sports program for the Nov. 19, 1949, game between Washington and Washington State the “worst program cover in football history.” I find it interesting because I was born a few hours later, on Nov. 20, 1949 — 1:30 in the morning. But here’s the question:
