What’s going on with our national psyche that “retail therapy” has been upgraded to an essential service on Thanksgiving Day? Consider the message we’re sending to children when family time takes a back seat to the lure and seduction of enticing sales.

In our 24/7 economy, Thanksgiving is a rare day that is both faith-friendly and faith-neutral to pause and express gratitude. Support retailers that close on Thanksgiving Day! Let’s celebrate this unique holiday as a time-in to reflect and give thanks with family and friends.
