Conversations with cashiers

Was at a specialty foods store this morning and the friendly young guy ringing up my purchases praised the weather.

“I sort of regret wearing pants today,” he said.

I inferred that he meant “long pants.”

But the store in question prides itself on being a little different. S o who knows.
