Food stamps and Bible

For those who hold the Bible in some esteem, it provides some commentary on the latest government reduction in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program food stamps. Matthew 25: 31-46 describes the Final Judgment, when those who gave food to the hungry inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, and those who did not went off to eternal punishment.

It would be wise for Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers and her Republican allies to keep this passage in mind, if they indeed hold the Bible in some esteem.
