President Obama’s aggressive new Environmental Protection Agency proposal to dramatically limit carbon pollution is a welcome move forward in our efforts to address climate change. Obama’s proposal aims to reduce carbon pollution by 30 percent by 2030.

Innovations in the production, distribution and use of electricity are already making the power sector more efficient and sustainable while maintaining an affordable, reliable and diverse energy mix.

I’m encouraged by EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy’s call “to innovate our way to a better future.”
