Truth about Arritola

When an incumbent politician has to start making up lies this early in the campaign, you know he is really worried. Rep. Matt Shea is already up to his dirty tricks, making things up about Josh Arritola.

Shea sent out an email May 22 claiming Arritola “recently relocated from California.”

This is laughable.

To set the record straight: Arritola was born on a farm in Central Washington and moved to Spokane when he was 5 years old. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and the University of Washington and was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force, where he was stationed in Alaska. After the Air Force, he worked briefly in California, then came back home to Spokane in 2008 to open his company, where he has created 46 jobs.

It’s not surprising Shea has started lying already. Clearly, he needs to misrepresent Arritola’s past so we don’t spend time talking about his voting record, which includes a failing grade from the Association of Washington Business.

We need someone who does not just vote Republican, but someone who represents our values. I don’t want someone who continually shows up in the paper and national news embarrassing our community.
