“Babies born during Ice Storm turn 18 this week,” wrote Anthony House in an email. “Sigh.”

House is a former Spokane resident who now works for Google in London, England. “But I remember 1996 awfully well.”

I asked him if he has a favorite Premier League team.

His answer: “I have a least favourite Premier League team: Arsenal play just up the road from me, and the crowds make all the local pubs pretty grim on game days.”
