Do you remember kite battles?

I don’t know if they even make paper kites anymore.

But once upon a time, boys flying kites used to engage in aerial combat, crashing kites into each other while aloft.

The goal was to reduce your opponent’s kite to a broken, torn wreck that could no longer stay up in the air.

This was great fun.

But every once in a while I am reminded that not all men did this when they were kids.

It makes them strange to me.
