Here’s a picture of Sue Murphy.

She’s a longtime Slice reader. We had not met until today.

Sue and her husband operate a small farming operation near Cheney. They also have their own garden.

She wrote to me last week to say she was glad I was feeling better. And she offered to bring me some corn, which she said was worthy of praise.

Newspaper staffers are not supposed to accept gifts. So I said, “Sure, bring some right here.”
