Trying not to throw up

So this guy sent me an email saying he had lost his recipe for lutefisk soufflé.

I forwarded his note to the S-R’s hard-working food editor. She spent some time trying to help this man. And, in the end, he wrote back and said it was all a joke.

Ha. Ha.

Oh, well. It reminded me of a time I tasted lutefisk at the Sons of Norway about 25 years ago.

Worst stuff I ever put in my mouth. I almost could not believe how awful it was.

You know how sometimes you can make a face and pretend to be enjoying something you don’t really like? Well, this was nothing like that. It was all I could do to keep from creating a spectacle with a power-regurg.

Anyway, in tomorrow’s Slice column, I ask readers if they have ever had lutefisk.
